You're an artist. You shouldn't have to be an accountant too.

I get it — the money side wasn't why you started making art. But pricing, profit, taxes, the income that shows up in waves and vanishes just as fast… it's the part that quietly stresses every artist out. That's the part I'm good at.

I'm a finance professional. I'm also an artist. So I can talk numbers without talking down to you — and help you build the financial side of your work without it ever feeling like a spreadsheet swallowed your studio.

Start with a free 15-minute call. No pitch, no cost — just tell me what's tripping you up and I'll tell you straight if I can help.

The part nobody taught you

Nobody hands artists a finance manual. You learned to make the work. The money side you've been figuring out by guessing.

So you price a piece by feel and hope it's right. You don't really know what a commission earns you after materials and time. Money comes in lumps and you're flush one month, scraping the next. And tax season? A yearly scramble through a shoebox of receipts.

None of that means you're bad at this. It means you've never had someone who speaks both languages sit down and walk you through it.

That's me.

It starts with a free 15-minute call

You tell me where you're at and what's stressing you out. I'll tell you — honestly — whether I can help and what that would look like. No cost, no obligation, no hard sell. If it's not a fit, you'll still walk away with a clearer head than you came in with.

If it is a fit, here's the kind of thing I help artists sort out:

  • Pricing that makes sense. How to price your work with logic behind it instead of a gut number — so you can charge what it's worth and explain why.
  • What you actually earn. A real look at what a piece nets you once materials, fees, and time are in the picture.
  • Surviving the income rollercoaster. A simple way to plan around irregular money so the lean months stop blindsiding you.
  • What to set up first. The few financial basics worth handling now — so future-you isn't cleaning up a mess.

From there, the work is simple and plain-language — no jargon, no homework you'll never touch. You end up with a real map of where you stand and what to do first, instead of guessing.

Need more than a starting point? For artists ready to actually build it out, I offer a deeper foundation setup — I help you put your pricing structure, income tracking, and a real cash-flow plan in place. Tell me when you reach out and I'll let you know if it's the right fit.

This is for you if…

  • You make art and the money side stresses you out
  • You're pricing by guesswork and you know it
  • Your income is irregular and you want to stop white-knuckling it
  • You want to treat your art like it matters — financially, too

You don't need to be "established." You don't need to be making a fortune. You just need to be ready to stop avoiding the numbers.

Why me

Here's the honest pitch: most people who understand money have never had to price a piece of their own art. And most artists have never been taught the money side at all. I'm one of the few who lives in both worlds.

I spent years in a career built on structure, rigor, and discipline — the numbers are second nature. And I'm an artist. I run this store. I price my own work, plan my own irregular income, and put a portion of every sale toward art programs in Hamilton hospitals through Canvas Clan. I know the financial questions that keep artists up at night because I ask myself the same ones.

So I won't talk to you like a bank would. I'll talk to you like someone who actually gets what it's like to make a living — or try to — from something you care about this much.

Structure meets soul. It's my whole approach.

Let's talk

Start with a free 15-minute call. Tell me a little about your work and what's stressing you out, and I'll set up a time. You get a clearer picture, and if there's a way I can help beyond that, I'll lay out exactly what it looks like and what it costs — no surprises.

Worst case, you spend 15 minutes and leave with more clarity than you had. Best case, the money stuff finally stops being the thing you dread.
